Van Cleef & Arpels Paris 18k Yellow Gold & Diamond Four Leaf Clover Clip Brooch Retro Here is your chance to purchase a beautiful and highly collectible designer clip brooch. Truly a great piece at a great price! Presented is a charming 18 karat yellow gold and diamond pin or brooch. This is a vintage piece made in France by Van Cleef & Arpels, dating to around the 1930s-1950s. The design is like a four leaf clover with finely textured detailing for the individual leaves or petals, with a diamond set in the center. The diamond is a great quality stone as you’d expect from the Van Cleef & Arpels name, full of life and sparkle, about 4 millimeters in diameter, about 15-20 points in size. The pin back is two sharp prongs like for a scarf clip, one of which rests in a little socket when closed. This piece is in excellent overall condition. The diamond is securely set and has only two very minor flakes to the edge, which are not visible without a jeweler’s loupe. The texturing is nice and crisp. The clasp is working well. The pin is stamped VCA for Van Cleef & Arpels and Made in France, on the hinge of the clasp. One prong of the clasp has a small hallmark as well, which we can’t quite make out. The back of one of the leaves has an 18k stamp. All parts of the pin are 18 karat gold, nitric acid tested and guaranteed, including the pin shafts. The pin measures about 1 1/8 inches by 5/8 of an inch. The pin weighs 6.3 grams.
