Tiffany earrings in 18K with inlaid onyx, circa 1982. In the ’80’s Tiffany’s designers discovered smart and sophisticated geometric designs to which they would periodically return for the next several decades. Sometimes executed in gold, onyx, mother of pearl and lapis, these bracelets, earrings and rings were straight forward but always with a subtle, surprising twist. In the case of our earrings notice that rectangular design is reversed one from the other, so that the long black onyx elements are located at the bottom of the ear lobe on one earrings but at the top of the lobe on the other. The earrings are .5 inches long, and .75 inches wide. They are signed on the verso T & Co., for Tiffany & Co., 1982, and 18 kt. These are now for a non pierced ear, we can easily add the post for a pierced ear. All items sold are accompanied by a detailed appraisal by our gemologist, as well as all original GIA certificates, if specified in listing. As always, we guarantee all of pieces, forever. Each piece of jewelry arrives in a finely gift-wrapped presentation box.
